Online Orders & Compliance

What are the age requirements for viewing firearms and buying ammunition?

To view firearms on the JGB Arms website, you must confirm you are at least 21 years old. To purchase ammunition in the State of Hawaii, you must also be 21 years old.

Do I need a Permit to Acquire (PTA) to order a firearm online?

Yes. When you order a firearm, you are verifying that you have a valid Long Gun or Handgun Permit to Acquire (PTA) in the State of Hawaii. All online firearm orders are reviewed by JGB Arms staff for compliance with Hawaii Revised Statutes Chapter 134. Firearms ordered without a valid permit or application in process may be subject to storage fees.

How do I receive items purchased through the JGB Arms web store?

All online orders are drop-shipped to JGB Arms, LLC, not to your home. You must pick up your order in person at JGB Arms on Kauai, where staff will verify your identification, permits, and Hawaii compliance before releasing regulated items.

How long does shipping usually take?

Most products arrive at JGB Arms within about 3–5 business days. Ammunition orders typically arrive within 4–6 weeks, depending on distributor supply and carriers. These time frames are estimates and can change based on availability and shipping conditions.

Does JGB Arms accept out-of-state FFL transfers?

Yes. JGB Arms performs out-of-state transfers and is currently running a trial period accepting transfers from Gunbroker and Palmetto State Armory. For those partners, no separate transfer form is required, but customers are still responsible for ensuring their purchase is legal to register in Hawaii.
